The non-profit organisation MWL is holding a chess tournament for women "Chess Mate to Trafficking" and a theater perfomance "Open your Eyes" in order to raise awareness against trafficking in human beings in Montenegro. Both events will take place on 30th May 2009 in Podgorica.

The non-profit organisation YUCOM is organising a conference entitled “Using International Mechanisms in Combating Human Trafficking". This conference will take place in Belgrade on June 16th 2009, at the Center for Cultural Decontamination, Birčaninova 21. The goal of the conference is to encourage NGOs dealing with human trafficking issues to use international mechanisms in lobbing for full implementation of standards necessary for combating the human trafficking phenomenon.

International Center "La Strada" Moldova is launching an "Awareness Campaign on Vulnerability of Migrants, especially Women, to Exploitation and Trafficking" taking place in two phases: May-June 2009 and September-October 2009. The campaign is targeting the promotion of Labor Migrants Rights and the protection of trafficked persons through the production and dissemination of video trailers and printed materials, the organization of workshops etc.

The Useful to Albanian Women Association, Albanian Rehabilitation Centre for Trauma and Torture Victims and other local partners of ARIADNE Network organize an awareness campaign against human trafficking during the week of 21 – 25 September 2009. The campaign consists of: distribution of informational material, interviews and presentation of the campaign through media, radio and newspapers and lastly an awareness conference entitled "Albania without trafficking" taking place on 24 September 2009 at Tirana International Hotel.
