Montenegrin women?s lobby is women?s NGO founded in 2001 that is dealing with the problem of trafficking in women, and also, with many others such as: sexual harassment, domestic violence, incest.
Activities:
Besides trafficking ( we are running SOS line and Shelter for victims of trafficking), we are engaged with peace movement and women in politics.Mission of Montenegrin Women's lobby- fight for women's rights Through the women's point of view the activists of MWL actual events and make an effort to »open« the discussion about taboo in our community, pointing out their existence and necessary solving even in Montenegro, and those are: sex trafficking, sexual harassment, sexual abusing of women and children…
Projects:
The support and aid to women victims of violence besides educated activists of the group MWL offers when there is a need and only on the request of the victim the specialists: psychological specialist, social specialist, lawyer, doctor.Montenegrin women's lobby had initiated in 4 years of existence all the peace movements and actions that took place in Montenegro, to which has been joined other NG groups later on. Peace actions, protests, appeals, performances, reactions...have been related to dates which remind on wars and crimes in previous 12 years as well as to international peace initiatives against war.
